The misery of driving for 4 hours on a rainy-icy highway in New Jersey, provided the inspiration for this work. These 3 parts were painted together and meant to be a triptych. But I think they also look quite good by themselves. While I was working on "Rainy Way" I had the challenge of bringing every part of the painting to the same level, I was out of my paper stock at the moment, so every part of the triptych is painted on different paper with different tonality and thickness.
